The Wallmeyer twins are iconic in my town - simply known as 'The Anorexic Twins'. They've been in the news often over the past 15 years. Last night, a house fire claimed their lives. One of them died at the scene, and the other was flown to Melbourne and died in hospital. I never knew these girls personally, but I've followed their story for years.
RIP, Rachel and Clare. I hope you've finally found peace.

You shouldn't feel remorse for these two. Pity would be more appropriate. I work at 000 and have received several phone calls from Rachel who was always drunk and never sounded coherent.
ReplyDeleteThese sisters just wasted their lives away. Their passing is by far the best that could've happened to them.
I hope that you do not become a statistic like them and get help before your life, and the lives of those who love you, is ruined.
I wish you all the best.
Maybe recovery would have been the best thing that could have happened to them, rather than death. I would have hoped someone working at 000 might have agreed with that.
DeleteThat's so sad.
ReplyDeleteRest in peace to those wonderful women. I hope they have found health and happiness is whatever afterlife they have found.
I hope you're okay and you're dealing with the loss well.
Take care.
Don't be stressed about people hitting your page googling the twins. I did and am glad I found your page. It's important, what you are doing and you should be applauded for putting yourself out there (here) as so many hide away and are unseen from all but a few.
